Architecture Beyond Capitalism

ABC School is the central gathering of the Architecture Lobby’s Academia Working Group. The School launched in 2021 with a focus on organizing as a pedagogical practice that could unite historically fragmented sites, workers, and concerns of architecture education in order to meet the structural challenges of the current planetary crises. Iterations of the school have emphasised a deeper understanding of capitalism as the 'terrain' in which we are operating, emancipatory pedagogical practices within and outside the academy, methods of organizing that generate collective and future belonging, and 'hacking' the institution through collaborative and convivial gathering.
